About Cricket Women
Hull University Women’s Cricket Club HUWCC is a relatively new club to the athletic union, having only been established in February 2015. We are a lovely welcoming team of girls who are just like a family! Our team trains 2 times a week and we compete in both indoor and outdoor games. We played successfully in our first BUCS league in the 2016 summer season. We provide coaching for all abilities and experiences and have strong ties with our local team in Cottingham. Women’s Cricket is growing nationwide, and we are proud to be a part of it and would love you to be too! We also have a brilliant social calendar, with weekly events like socials, quizzes, or games nights, as well as lots of fun occasions throughout the year! Tour is a great opportunity to grow even closer as friends and also to get to know other sports teams too. This is all while having an exciting holiday and a chance to play against other UK universities abroad! Find us on social media and don’t hesitate to drop us a message! All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
