About Drama Society
Hull University Drama Society is one of the University's most active societies. Every year we put on four full-scale productions, providing opportunities for actors, directors, and technical operators. We've put on comedies such as The Ladykillers, The 39 Steps, and even a stage adaptation of Blackadder goes Fourth, but we have also delved into the macabre with shows like The Hollow, The Pillowman, and Macbeth. We also have our very own Radio Plays group who record a wide variety of material for Hullfire Radio, including sketches, monologues and full radio plays. There are loads of opportunities given to our members, and exciting socials every other week, culminating in our Oscars ceremony at the end of the year! For more information, find us on Facebook, or email us at [email protected].
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
