About Football Ladies
We have won our fair share of silverware including completing the 2014 season unbeaten and placing first in the BUCS League, as well as finishing second in the Sunday league and reaching the semi-final of the County cup. We won the Development Shield in 2008 and 2009 and coming runner up in 2010. Despite our strong results and successful season we are a laid back team and looking to recruit players of all abilities to those that have never kicked a ball before to those that have been playing since they can remember. Every week we have two games, two training sessions and a social. We play on a Wednesday and Sunday and after the game on a Sunday, we head to the Old Grey Mare to have some food with the team. Our socials are every Wednesday evening with each week having a different theme, from beach party to charity shop!
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
