About Formula Student Society
The Hull University Formula Student team was founded in November 2010 by engineering students Jerome Greenhalgh & Brian Houston.
Backed by industry and high profile engineers such as their Patron Ross Brawn OBE, the competition aims to inspire and develop enterprising and innovative young engineers.
Universities from across the globe are challenged to design and build a single-seat racing car in order to compete in static and dynamic events, which demonstrate their understanding and test the performance of their vehicle.
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
