About Surgical Society
- Provide insight into a surgical careers for those that are curious
- Run events that are of interest to students in general.
Hull Surgical society was established to complement its York counterpart many years ago. The three main strands of our society are talks, workshops and educational sessions. We also run an annual national surgical conference along with our York counterpart. Talks we have run in the past have been delivered by a combination of internationally renowned surgeons and local consultants. For the practically minded our workshops tackle important surgical skills such as suturing and laparoscopic techniques and our educational sessions aim to help prepare students for any upcoming exams. All our welcome to join, we look forward to seeing you all in the new academic year!
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
