HUU Awards

The HUU Awards is a free annual event that celebrates the efforts and achievements the incredible students who volunteer throughout HUU.

All of the students who are involved in volunteering, HUSSO, LINKS, Student Media, RAG, and our Course Rep system are just a few of the significant contributors within HUU.

You might not even think of yourself as a volunteer, but if you’re on a committee for a society or sports team, part of student media, contribute to liberation campaigns, a course rep or give your time to improve the lives of other students, then you’re a volunteer!

The HUU awards ceremony takes place in Asylum and is a completely free evening with food, drink and entertainment to reward and recognise the essential contribution of student volunteers within HUU, and is a night of celebration year on year.

Nominations open in Trimester 2, with shortlisting in April. All shortlisted candidates are given a priority invitation with a guest, and remaining numbers will be filled with non-shortlisted nominees on a first come, first served basis.

This year's awards take place on Thursday, 2nd May.

The shortlist has now been announced, see who is in the running for an award here.
