Find the fish; explore the city! Follow Hull’s unique pavement of fish, an A- Z of fish creating a tour of the historic Old Town.
You will be guided by local historian Mike Covell, whose Amazing Hull Tours regularly give the inside information on the unknown and hidden history of Hull.
41 pieces of sculpture made from traditional materials make up this impressive piece of public art. The artist Gordon Young created the trail of sculptures in 1992 - representing the actual size of fish with life size pieces, from a tiny anchovy to a 10ft ray. His sense of humour surfaces with the placing of a plaice in the market place, an electric eel outside the electricity sub station and a shark outside a bank...
*Please be aware that this is a walking tour, which will include walking over old and cobbled streets. We therefore advise that you wear appropriate footwear for this event.
Tickets for this event will go on sale Monday 9th September and remain on sale until tickets sell out or Friday 4th October at 3.30pm. Please book your place for this event online or through HUU Reception Mon – Fri between 10am-4pm.
Transport is not included for this event.
