Cooking Class - Cooking on a budget 16th Oct
Masterchef Kitchen, The Courtyard Accommodation
Join our Facebook event here to meet others who are attending this GIAG
HUU have teamed up with EMS Yorkshire, a local charity who work with the community on a number of projects - one of them being cooking on a budget.
The idea behind the project is to encourage people to cook meals from fresh ingredients as this is cheaper and far better for them health wise. The recipes we use are all designed to be cooked in one pot, be ready in 30 minutes or less, will feed 3-4 adults and cost between £3- £5 per meal.
EMS are kindly coming onto campus to give practical demonstrations of how to prepare a variety of meals using a range of fresh ingredients and provide recipe cards to accompany each meal which are available for all attendees to take with them at the end of the session. Once the meals are ready, people can plate up anything they want to try, and, if there is anything left over they can take it home.
Meet us at the Courtyard Accommmodation in the Masterchef Kitchen by 3pm. All you need to bring is yourself and a hungry belly!
Please email [email protected] of any dietary requirements.
