Hull Sport partners, Boccia England, are bringing you a series of virtual events during Disability History Month.
Boccia (pronounced bot-cha) is a Paralympic sport that is similar to bowls. Boccia is a target ball sport which tests both muscle control and accuracy. From a seated position, players propel balls to land as close as possible to a white marker ball, known as the Jack.
This two-part officiating masterclass is designed for referees at every level. Using hand-selected matches from some of the top international competitions around the world, you will have the opportunity to observe, analysis and feedback from an official's point of view.
The ability to break down the skills of a top international referee and then apply it to your own court will see your officiating jump to the next level. We will also observe that referees of all standards make mistakes, but it is often how that referee handles the error which makes them so good.
