Give It a Go
Give It a Go is your amazing HUSU activities programme filled with new things to try and discover.
There's no long term commitment, just pick and choose what you'd like to do, book a ticket, come along and enjoy!
The programme of activities is open exclusively to all University of Hull students – with something for everyone. As a not-for profit organisation, at HUSU we use revenue from commercial operations to subsidise this range of events by up to 50%.
If you fancy meeting new people and perhaps making friends for life, discovering new cities, exploring the local area, creating a masterpiece, getting active or just trying something new, keep an eye on the Events page, look for our emails or follow us on Twitter .
Tickets are only available to University of Hull students. You'll be asked for your student card as ID when taking part in a GIAG activity, so please bring it along!
With such a range of events happening over each semester it's important you read the details on each individual event page. For many events, a physical ticket isn't necessary. At the start of each event, the leader will have a customer list to see who has booked, all you need to do is bring your student ID. Some events, particularly theatre or external ticket events will require a physical ticket. This will be made clear on the event page on the website. Sometimes a member of staff may meet you at the venue where you can collect tickets, you may be instructed to collect tickets from the venue, or you may need to collect your ticket from HUSU reception. Please check your emails regularly for instructions. We will usually email you at your personal email, not your university email.
All the information you require should be on the event page of the website. We may need to contact you with changes or other updates about events. If you have booked please check your emails to ensure you're up to date with the latest information. We will usually email you at your personal email, not your university email. We always email attendees with all the information they need for trips and events where transport is provided. This usually comes 1 or 2 days before departure. It is up to you to check your emails for the information provided and to pass this onto any friends you have bought a ticket for, as we will not have their email address. Events may be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances or lack of interest, so if you want to do something, buy a ticket early so we know you're keen! We'll always do our best to inform you of any changes, and will provide a full refund if an event is cancelled.

As a student-led organisation we want you to be involved in shaping and creating the programme of activities we offer. If you have any interesting skills and experience in delivering workshops, or have ideas or contacts, drop us an email. We'd love to hear from you!

You must be sure you are free to attend GIAG events before you sign up. Refunds cannot be given unless we cancel the event. When you sign up we pay your money directly to the coach company and/or the attraction. We usually get group discounts which means we're bound by no refund rules ourselves.
All Give it a Go events are strictly non-refundable (and non-transferable) unless we cancel the entire event. We are sorry about this. When you sign up we pay your money directly to the coach company and/or the attraction. We usually get group discounts which means we're bound by no refund rules ourselves.
I'm afraid not. Tickets and products bought from GIAG are non-refundable and non-transferable unless the event is cancelled. When you sign up we pay your money directly to the coach company and/or the attraction. We usually get group discounts which means we're bound by no refund rules ourselves.
We're sorry no. All tickets are bought from specific student accounts and giving a ticket to another person with a different student number means they will be refused access at the door of the bus/event.
If the Give it a Go event has been cancelled, you will have been emailed by the Give it a Go staff already. We endeavour to process refunds within 14 days of authorisation. If you paid online, will we refund your money straight back into the account from which you paid. If you paid at HUSU reception, you will need to return to HUSU reception for a refund.
