Lifting of Lockdown Restrictions: 17 May Commercial Update
Posted 14 May 2021What does the new restrictions on 17 May mean for our venues?
From Monday 17 May, we will see further easing of lockdown restrictions in line with the government’s roadmap, but what does this mean for our venues (Sanc, SPAR, Eats Italia and Asylum)?
At this stage safety measures include:
Track & Trace at all events - this must be filled out.
Hand sanitiser provided.
Social distancing is still in place.
Face masks must be worn around Student Central.
Students can meet in groups of 6 indoors and up to 30 outdoors.
Please stick to your table and don’t swap!
The SPAR shop in Student Central is open daily for all your essential items. Opening times are as follows:
Monday - Friday: 8.00-20.00
From Monday 17 May, Sanc will be re-opening its tables inside (no more pints in the rain!) every day from 12pm.
Sanc will also be back offering food from Monday - Friday, 12pm - 5pm, but with a reduced menu. It will still be operating by table service only and food and drinks must be ordered via the Student Orders app.
Tables will be in groups of up to 6 people, and please remember to use the NHS Track and Trace before entering the venue.
No booking is required, as it’s first-come, first-served.
Don’t worry, you can still get your favourite cheesy chip wrap from Eats Italia - simply order straight to your table via the Student Orders app!
Opening times are as follows:
Saturday - Sunday: 12pm - 10.30pm
Monday - Friday: 4pm - 10.30pm
We’re so excited to say that from Monday Asylum will be re-opening its doors again (yay!). We have a whole programme of events for you to enjoy too, including:
The HUSU Big Quiz - Every Tuesday from 6.30pm
Tower: Totally Distanced - Every Wednesday from 5pm
100% RNB - Every Friday from 6pm
Tower: Saturday Social - Every Saturday from 5pm
Events will be seated in tables of 6 and will be operating by table service only, so all drinks must be ordered via the Student Orders app. Don’t forget to use the NHS Track and Trace before entering the venue - it’s compulsory! No booking is required, as it’s first-come, first-served.
