Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, Hull Sport Park closed on Wednesday 18th March 2020 and remains closed at the time of writing and will do for the foreseeable future. For those of you who are a member of an AU club who regularly use the facilities for your training sessions, this means that you had a reduction in your training hours during Semester 2.
AU Clubs will have lost 33 days of potential training times which, in relation to the price of the University Facility Sports Pass, equates to £12.26 for a Full Year Pass and £17.29 for a Semester 2 Pass.
Together, Hull Sport and I have worked to come to an agreement that offers you some compensation for the loss of service you have experienced. We found a solution that, we believe, doesn’t disadvantage any student whilst also encouraging future participation in sport and our AU Clubs.
1. Non-returning Students:
Students who are not returning to Hull (i.e. final years, exchange students returning home, etc.) will be eligible for a refund of £12.26 or £17.29 accordingly.
2. Returning Students:
Students returning to Hull for the 2020/21 academic year who chose to participate in sport through an AU Club will receive a credit note of the relevant amount to put towards their participation in sport.
Students returning to Hull, who chose not to participate in sport by the end of week 3 in semester 1 of the 2020/21 academic year, will then be able to apply for a refund. Refunds will need to be claimed by the end of week 6 in semester 1.
Refunds for non-returning students will be made available in August and more details on the process for this will follow. Likewise, further details for returning students will follow in due course. We really appreciate your patience on this and would like to kindly request that you wait for the further details, however, if you have any immediate/urgent questions, please get in touch with me, Erin Pettit, [email protected].
