The Student President Team will join staff, students and the local community to show solidarity and support of our missing student, Libby Squire.

We have all been moved by the way our students and the local community have united to #HelpFindLibby and we are offering everyone the opportunity to come together and demonstrate their continued support – for finding Libby and for each other. We know that this support means a great deal to her family and close friends.

When: 5pm

  • Meeting at the plaza outside of the Brynmor Jones Library
  • We will proceed along the Great White Way, reaching Canham Turner building around 5.30pm.
  • People are welcome to come together in Canham Turner afterwards, where refreshments will be served.
  • Student Central will be open as normal.

Students scheduled to be in lectures at that time are welcome to attend and will not be penalised in any way.

Following the event, posters featuring Libby’s photo and police contact details will be available for collection from Student Central. Students and members of the public are invited to take these and place them on campus and in the local area. Student Central will remain open as a safe space for students and the public and will be open until 11pm this week. You should feel no pressure to buy products from our outlets and are welcome to use our building as a safe space.

Student Central will remain open for this purpose throughout the week, with the exception of Sundays, when the closing time is 5pm.
