Notice of By-Elections 2019

This is official notice that Hull University Union (HUU) will be holding By-elections as per the following details:


Update: 1st October 2019


The deadline for all by-election nominations has been extended to Friday 4th October, 3pm. Please ensure that you submit your nomination before this time.


The Candidate Meeting will now take place on Monday 7th October at 4pm in MR6


The voting period remains the same – from 9am on Tuesday 8th October to 3pm on Friday 11th October.



Monday 16th September 9am - Nominations open

Wednesday 2nd October 5pm - Nominations close

Tuesday 8th October 9am - Voting opens

Friday 11th October 3pm - Voting closes

During the nomination period, simply go to and follow the directions.

If you would like to find out more about running in this year’s by-elections, please sign up for our mailing list here. This will provide you with essential information to help you to decide whether running in the elections is right for you, and to help you to write your manifesto and plan your campaign.

There will also be a number of sessions taking place to inform and support you, more information about these will be released at a later date.

How to Vote

During the voting period, simply go to and login with your University username and password.

Members of Hull University Union staff will be across campus with pop up voting booths during the elections period to provide you with a private space in which to vote and answer any questions you may have about voting.
