This is official notice that Hull University Union will be holding general elections for full-time President positions for the 2020/2021 academic year as per the following details:
Wednesday 29th January 09:00 - Nominations open
Friday 21st February 12:00 - Nominations close
Friday 21st February 17:00 - All Candidates Meeting, MR1, Student Central
Friday 28th February 12:00 - Manifesto deadline
Monday 2nd March 18:00 - Question Time, MR1, Student Central
Monday 2nd March 21:00 - Voting opens
Thursday 5th March 15:00 - Voting closes
Friday 6th March 17:00 - Results Night
How to nominate yourself
During the nomination period, simply go to www.hulluniunion.com/nominatenow and follow the instructions to put your name forward for one position. This year you are not expected to submit your manifesto at the same time as your nomination.
All candidates must attend the All Candidate Meeting on 21st February.
How to submit your manifesto
All candidates must submit their "Reasons for Standing" before the manifesto deadline on Friday 28th February.
Manifesto training will take place on Wednesday 26th February to help inform candidates about how to write an effective and engaging manifesto, and include data we know about our student population so you can focus on the issues that matter most to them.
How to vote
During the voting period, simply go to www.hulluniunion.com/votenow and login with your University username and password.
Members of Hull University Union staff will be across campus with pop up voting booths during the elections period to provide you with a private space in which to vote and answer any questions you may have about voting.
