Guide to Pride

June 13, 2019

Sponsored by the University of Hull, this year Pride in Hull will be taking place on July 20th.

Pride in Hull is the region's biggest celebration of the LGBT+ community and is open to everyone who wants to embrace the diversity of our area. Party with the parade, enjoy the acts and performances and grab some food and drink from the street-food stalls or Pride bar.

What happens on the day?

The day will kick off with the famous parade, leaving Hull College at midday and winding its way to Queens Gardens for 1pm where the party gets into full swing. In Queen's Gardens, the gates will open at 12:30pm and celebrations will run until 8pm, followed by after parties around the city. There's performances from Melanie C ft Sink the Pink and Alaska 5000.

How can you be involved?

There's tons of opportunities. Get stuck in and march with the University or volunteer your specialised skills directly with Pride. You could be a qualified first-aider, expert litter picker or marketing genius - everyone can help support the event. Visit the official Pride in Hull website to see all the FAQ’s and a more detailed event description or join the Facebook event page for live updates.

Bring your dancing shoes, your own true colours and have a day to remember.
