A message about Coronavirus (Covid-19) from your President Team

Written by the Student President Team.

To all our students,

Over the last few weeks, we have been faced with uncertainty and change. It has been a challenging time for our entire University community and as we begin to find new ways of working together and connecting with others, your Students’ Union will continue to be here for you.

Although our campus has closed, teaching has moved online and your Students’ Union has moved most of its activity online also, we want to reassure you that we will continue to represent, support and advise you whilst finding new ways to bring our community together digitally.

Our students have always been at the heart of all we do and we will continue to ensure you remain at the centre of our communications, our work to protect those impacted by hardship and enduring academic difficulties as well as the safety of our fantastic community.

We stand by all our international students, those staying at University in accommodation away from home, and our healthcare students working on the frontline during this unprecedented time. We will continue to work to support you as well as all the other students we represent.

As a President Team, we will continue to update you with information from both the Students’ Union and the University as they take place. Ensure you also keep checking back to the both our FAQ sections of our websites which will also be continually updated with the latest information. If you have any concerns or worries, please do reach out and get in touch. We are available through social media, emails and can arrange online meetings.

We are Hull. We are one community. In times of hardship, we come together. Our message is one of solidarity, look out for your friends, family, course mates, and housemates, and above all, be kind and be caring.

Isobel Hall, President of the Students’ Union

Simeon Orduen, President of Education

Erin Pettit, President of Sports

Abi Morris, President of Inclusivity and Diversity
