In the library, there are tables which wind up and down for disabled students to make it easier for them to do their work. However, there are not many and for someone who may look able bodied but are in fact disabled, use these tables as they help them to be more comfortable in the library. There needs to be more of these within the library and across campus so students who have disabilities or severe medical problems, are not restricted to sitting in one area in the library but across campus.

University committed to installing more of these in March 2018. I met with the library EDI team who signalled their support in chasing up the earlier commitment to be more accommodating for those who need winding tables.
19/10/2018 **UPDATE**
The University committed to installing more of these in March 2018. I will be meeting with the equality, diversity and inclusion team of the library to discuss their strategy on the 25th October. I will raise this issue with them directly to see what changes have been made.
