The library offer many ways to combat this issue. Where possible the library try and buy eBook copies so this doesn’t happen in the first place. However, in the event of this happening on the library website you can recall books – this ensures that the book comes back as quickly as possible and also triggers the library to look into buying more copies. If not, the library staff are really friendly so go and talk to them about whether you can order more copies of the book. There is a process in place in which lecturers are required to tell library staff which books are essential reading, the result of which is that the library will stock more copies of the text.
I hope this is a satisfactory resolution. If you would like a further discussion or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at [email protected]
