Ask for Angela
Submitted by Andrew C.

Metropolitan Police endorse a campaign called Ask for Angela where people can go up to the bar in clubs and 'Ask for Angela' in the event that their date is not going as planned or is making them feel uncomfortable/unsafe. Bar staff will know to help their situation or call them a taxi discreetly without too much fuss.

18/05/2018 - **UPDATE**
Policy and processes for this initiative have now been completed and approved by HUU and UoH and I am SO excited to announce the scheme will be fully launched on WEDNESDAY 23RD MAY at the Final TOWER of the year, and will be in place for students at the EOYB 2018.

29/03/2018 - **UPDATE**
I've been working closely with HUU's Commercial Services Director and we have agreed to FULLY launch this idea across all HUU student facing services. I will update as soon as a date is confirmed. For this we will be launching it as part of the cNOsent campaign to ensure that all branding is gender neutral, inclusive and accessible to everybody.
Will keep you updated asap :)

27/03/2018 - **UPDATE**
I am currently looking into how we can put this idea in place and market it to students under the cNOsent campaign. When we've established this I will update again. If you have any thoughts please don';t hesitate to get in touch at [email protected]
