A volunteer Football Support Worker is needed to assist our trainer to enable our service users at CASE (adults with learning disabilities) to participate in competitive football games as part of the Humber NHS football Inclusion League.



The volunteer will be required to play football with the CASE FC football team as well as supporting the wellbeing needs of the service users. These football matches (and practices) are on Thursday mornings off site in locations around the city. Transport will be provided from CASE.



A knowledge of working with individuals with learning disabilities is desirable but training will be made available

Must be fun and outgoing with excellent communication.



A minibus licence is desirable but not essential.



coaching football experience is desirable but not essential but an enthusiasm to play football is necessary.

Skill & Qualifications Required



An awareness of learning disabilities and associated conditions is desirable but this is not essential as training will be provided.



A commitment to developing the knowledge, understanding and general well being of our service users.



A full clean (minibus) driving licence is desirable but not essential.



Enthusiasm to play football is necessary. Coaching football is desirable but not essential.

Availability

Monday 12-30 - 4pm and Thursday 8-30am - 12pm minimum time per week would be three and a half hours.

Help set up the Park run event for 1 hour per week (rota system) duties include marking out the route, enter participants via a computer, recording times and give out any awards.  Support the Park Run Association and lead volunteers to ensure the event is scheduled and delivered according to park run guidelines.  Encourage participants to improve their lifestyles by enjoying exercise in a fun and relaxed environment.
